Burnett Maths & Physics Tuition

12-Week Programme Agreement

Thank you for choosing Burnett Maths & Physics Tuition. The purpose of this agreement is to ensure expectations are clear and to create the best possible learning experience for students and parents.

Burnett Maths & Physics Tuition provides structured 12-week programmes designed to rebuild understanding, confidence and exam performance through personalised one-to-one support.

Programmes are tailored around the individual student and designed to provide clear structure, accountability and ongoing support throughout the learning journey.

Programme Options

Plus Programme (Recommended – Most families choose this)

The Plus Programme provides the highest level of structured support, accountability and ongoing guidance throughout the 12-week programme.

Included:

  • Weekly personalised one-to-one online tuition sessions

  • Structured 12-week learning programme

  • Tailored lesson planning and resources

  • Personalised homework and revision tasks

  • Between-session student support via email/WhatsApp (reasonable use)

  • Mid-week accountability check-ins

  • Priority parent communication and progress updates

  • Priority booking and rescheduling where possible

  • Additional exam-style question walkthrough support where appropriate

  • Topic confidence and progress tracking throughout the programme

  • Personal strengths, gaps and next-step roadmap

  • Session summaries and revision support resources where appropriate

  • Optional session recordings available on request

  • Priority response times (Monday–Friday)

Core Programme

 

The Core Programme provides structured personalised support throughout the 12-week programme.

Included:

  • Weekly personalised one-to-one online tuition sessions

  • Structured 12-week learning programme

  • Tailored lesson planning and resources

  • Ongoing assessment and gap identification

  • Topic confidence tracking throughout the programme

  • Personal strengths and areas for development identified

  • Regular parent communication and progress updates

  • Homework and independent practice guidance where appropriate

Lesson Delivery

Sessions are delivered online using:

  • Zoom

  • OneNote

  • Interactive teaching resources where appropriate

Students should:

  • attend on time

  • attend from a suitable learning environment

  • have stable internet access

  • have required materials available

Parent Communication

Parents are encouraged to communicate any relevant school updates, concerns or information that may impact student progress.

Regular communication and updates may be provided throughout the programme.

 

Payments & Programme Commitment

Programme places are reserved once payment arrangements are agreed.

Payment options:

Pay in Full

Plus Programme: £1,500 upfront

Core Programme: £1,200 upfront

OR

Monthly Payment Plan

Plus Programme: £550 per month for 3 months (£1,650 total)

Core Programme: £420 per month for 3 months (£1,260 total)

Programmes are structured and designed as complete 12-week programmes rather than individual tuition sessions.

Following completion of the first session, programme places and tuition time will have been reserved and committed. Therefore, once the programme has commenced, cancellations or early withdrawal from the programme will not normally release remaining payment obligations.

 

Exceptional circumstances will, of course, be considered at the discretion of Burnett Maths & Physics Tuition.

Missed or late payments may result in sessions being paused until resolved.

Rescheduling and Cancellations

A minimum of 24 hours’ notice should be provided for cancellations or rescheduling requests where possible.

Where sufficient notice is provided, reasonable efforts will be made to rearrange sessions.

Sessions missed without sufficient notice may not be recoverable.

Burnett Maths & Physics Tuition reserves the right to rearrange sessions in exceptional circumstances.

 

Student Commitment

Students achieve the strongest outcomes when they:

  • attend consistently

  • complete agreed work between sessions

  • engage fully during lessons

  • communicate when support is needed

Tuition supports progress but specific outcomes cannot be guaranteed.

Safeguarding

Burnett Maths & Physics Tuition takes safeguarding seriously.

James Burnett is a PVG Scheme Member through Disclosure Scotland and is also DBS checked in accordance with membership and verification requirements through The Tutors’ Association.

 

Burnett Maths & Physics Tuition aims to provide a safe, professional and supportive learning environment for all students.

Agreement

By proceeding with programme enrolment and payment, parents/guardians acknowledge they have read, understood and agree to the terms outlined within this agreement.
